“It’s our local event and I do like to try and support competitions in the Somerset area,” says NuuMed’s MD, Rosie Pocock. “It is also a pleasure working with Lucy (Fielding-Johnson) and Ces (Mitford-Slade) who organise it at Pontispool – they are very, very good at what they do. The event always attracts some of the country’s very best riders, so it’s the perfect shop window for us to get our products seen.”
Griffin Nuumed, which manufacturers all its products at its Somerset factory near Street, has been the official supplier of saddlepads for the British eventing, Showjumping, dressage and paradressage teams for three years.
Rosie said: “It’s a tremendous thrill to see our products used by the country’s very best riders and we are immensely proud of this. But at the other end of the scale, it’s also just as rewarding to have an involvement with our local horse trials too.”
More than 600 riders are expected to compete at the event, with classes ranging from BE80 to Open Intermediate.
