cheshire show 150x100 - The countdown is on to the 2018 Royal Cheshire County Show!The countdown is officially on to this year’s Royal Cheshire County Show and with the Cheshire Agricultural Society celebrating its 180th anniversary, a Show which is bigger and better than ever has been planned.

Visitors can expect to be wowed with exclusive performances, meet exceptional Show animals and visit the bustling trade stands whilst experiencing a real feeling of agricultural pride.

The Show encapsulates everything we know and love about summertime in Cheshire. With the Show’s primary focus having always been Cheshire’s rich faming history, this year is no exception. Meet hundreds of animals close-up; rare livestock breeds, pygmy goats, gun dogs, worlds horse breeds, cavies and more! Plus-

  • The return of the notorious ‘Bolddog Boys’ who are back by popular demand after their visit to the Showin 2015. The UK’s top ranked freestyle motocross riders will be demonstrating the latest heart-stopping tricks, pushing the boundaries of FMX and striving to ensure that the crowds are left mind-blown.
  • Over in the Roberts Bakery Food Halls, foodies will be treated to over 100 local and regional producers with special show day offers and treats to sample. Michelin starred Jean-Christophe Novelli, Corrie’s Sean Wilson and Luis Troyano of the Great British Bake Off will be cooking up a storm! For the star bakers amongst our visitors, the Pie Vs Cake competition is returning for another year with great prizes to be won for the best Cake and Pie as judged by our celebrity
  • An exciting new Delamere Dairy Main Ring attraction, entitled ‘The Power of the Horse to Horse Power,’will commemorate the Show’s special anniversary and take spectators on a journey through history, showing how different agricultural processes have developed over the years. The display will begin with the gentle giants of the Shire Horses and finish with the massive giants of modern
  • A unique education on ‘plough to plate’ can be had in the much-loved Agri-Centre with livedemonstrations on ice cream making, butchering, milking and more taking place throughout the

Partnering this year with Taste Cheshire, cooking masterclasses will see budding chefs turn local produce into culinary delights under the supervision of celebrity chefs.

  • The iconic Tabley Eye will once again dominate the skyline and will take riders on an evocative ride above the Showground, providing breathtaking views of the stunning Cheshire

The 2018 Show promises to be bigger and better than ever with an action-packed couple of days planned for visitors of all ages. Nigel Evans, Executive Director of the Cheshire Agricultural Society and organiser of the Show comments: “Plans are well underway to deliver another successful Royal Cheshire County Show and to celebrate the Society’s 180th anniversary. The Show has become an annual event that people look forward to year on year and it is always a pleasure to see familiar faces returning. Of course, the efforts of our dedicated volunteers and support from many cannot be forgotten- without them the Show would not be the success that it is. The Show has an enviable reputation for having something for everyone, so if you like all things countryside, you will just love The Royal Cheshire County Show!”
