Equine Photographer takes Guild’s new Business Award

Penrith based fine-art equestrian photographer Emma Campbell was delighted to recently win The Guild of Photographers first ever Business of Photography Award, held at their annual Awards night, Crewe Hall, Cheshire.

Its ethos comes from The Guild’s new Business Qualification and is run in conjunction with business photography mentor Ronan Ryle.

“I didn’t know the award existed’, commented Emma, “and so when they started explaining about it at the ceremony, I just thought what a brilliant idea.”

Last year Emma had completed her business qualification with The Guild and it’s been invaluable in helping her build her equine photography business.Photo2 emma campbell adam edwards copy69 300x200 - Equine Photographer takes Guild’s new Business Award

“It was such a shock when they called my name as the winner!” commented Emma, “It’s a very personal win for me. It’s so important that my customers receive the very best. Whether that’s through the quality of my photography, experiencing excellent customer service; to having positive, fun and at times heartwarming experiences on their photo shoot sessions. After gaining my Master Craftsman and winning Equine and Overall Image of the Year last year, this was just the icing on the cake.”

Director of the Guild Lesley commented, “During the lockdowns, we used the time constructively to work closely with photography businesses to tweak and develop what they offered, taking their services to another level. Emma is clearly committed to her customers and excelled. We were proud to acknowledge that by awarding her our first ever Business related award! She was also acknowledged for being the talented photographer she is – yet again! Her skills and commitment to her customers are very apparent!”

The evening also saw Emma retain her place within the ‘Top Ten International Pet Photographers’ category and achieve her Photographers Bar for the 5th consecutive year – an acknowledgement of her consistent high standard of work.

Business Photography mentor Ronan Ryle had flown over from Ireland to present Emma with the award, which was sponsored by Business Success Academy and 3XM Solution. To find out more about the Guild of Photographers, who have members in the UK and internationally, visit www.photoguild.co.uk.
