Rearsby Lodge Riding Club Team to Represent Great Britain Generali World Club Tournament France 2020

Following the success of 4 riders at the NAF Five Star British Riding Clubs Championships at Lincolnshire Showground in September 2019 winning the National Intermediate Show Jumping for their Club, Rearsby Lodge Riding Club, Marianne Stringfellow, Lily Walker, Nicki Grayson & Genevieve Walters have qualified to compete at the Generali World Club Tournament, taking place at the Parc Equestre Federal in Lamotte Beuvron, France from 22-24 July 2020 to represent Great Britain.

The World Club Tournament (now in its 16th year) is an International Competition with 26 countries competing, gathering more than 10,000 riders taking part in 11 disciplines held during the French National Riding Club Championships.  Rearsby Lodge Riding Club’s team of four Intermediate Show Jumping riders will compete against teams from across the world in 2 different stages spread over two days.

Each rider will ride their own horses and travel them over to France a few days before the competition starts. The horses Briar Rose, Party Popper, Rainstone Michael and Dorissimo will make the 13 hour journey to Lamotte Beurvon having been passed by veterinary surgeons fit to make the long journey. 

Team Manager Rachel Frew along with BRC & Rearsby Lodge Riding Club will be working closely alongside the team to ensure all the arrangements are put into place.  Pictured (l-r) are Marianne Stringfellow, Lilly Walker, Nicki Grayson & Genevieve Walters.
