YHL9YOUR Horse Live 2012 saw records broken and new highs reached with 21,838 visitors heading to Stoneleigh for the hugely successful two day event.

A rise of 15% on last year, the 2012 event saw the fourth successive increase in visitor’s year on year at what has become an exceptional equine extravaganza.  From excellent shopping opportunities to world class demonstrations by Olympic hero’s and heroine’s Carl Hester, Ben Maher, Charlotte Dujardin and Mary King, Your Horse Live provided a fabulous day out for all equestrian fans.

With more than 370 trade stands, varying from leading feed companies, to tack and saddlery suppliers, clothing manufacturers and toys and gifts, there was something for everyone.  Trade stands were fully booked, months in advance with exhibitors reporting excellent business over the two days.

With Olympic names headlining the main arena demonstrations, the stands were packed for every performance with visitors delighted at the opportunity to watch and learn from four supremely talented riders.  Said Helen James: “We watched the demonstration given by Carl and Charlotte it was just brilliant being both very educational and informative but fun as well.”

Added Joanne Sargent: “I am a huge fan of Mary King anyway so just to see training techniques and philosophies at close hand was amazing. She is such a star and it was wonderful to have her at Your Horse Live.”  In Arena 2 a wide range of demonstrations and displays included Jason Webb, starting a young horse, Classical riding with Sylvia Loch, show jumping made simple with Mia Korenika and helping problem horses with Richard Maxwell.

The Q&A Live Zone was as popular as ever with everything from dentistry to farriery, understanding horses’ emotions, bits and bitting, and massage for horses all discussed through fun and fascinating talks with a host of experts.

Emma Bedford, Associate Publisher of Bauer Specialist Equine Portfolio said: “This year’s Your Horse Live saw another rise in visitors which just shows what a hugely popular event it is. With an increase in total attendance figures for the fourth year running the public shopped till they dropped and all of the demonstrations and live shows were very well attended. The show has been a huge success and we’re looking forward to building on the momentum for Your Horse Live 2013.”
