Farmers Bloodhounds - The Farmers Bloodhounds End Of Season Charity Meet In Aid Of “Help For Heroes” March 15 2015

Farmers BloodhoundsThe Farmers Bloodhounds finished an exhilarating season off with their annual charity meet in aid of “Help for Heroes” raising £4000 on the day for this worthy charity.

The meet was kindly hosted by Mr and Mrs Fleming at the Dower House, Sarsgrove.  Local landowners made The FBH most welcome securing a wonderful day over the beautiful Oxfordshire countryside. Their hospitality and generosity is much appreciated by the Masters and supporters alike.

Under the guidance of Senior Master and Huntsman, Brian Temple, hounds were seen to run enthusiastically all day. Additional support was provided by whippers – in (son) Jamie Temple and Dave Pratley.

Some 90 riders, including several children, were ably guided by Master Anna Hall and second Field Master Elaine Colton. The variety of fences and grassland providing a superb treat for the mounted followers and there were the normal thrills and spills involved.

The “Quarry” Richard Pratt provided great sport on the day .Richard Pratt and Gareth Greenhouse have now completed their 25th season running for the Farmers Bloodhounds. Congratulations are extended to both. Appreciation is also extended to our other long time runners Jeremy Scarfe and Karl Rujsenaars.

The Farmers Bloodhounds have had a superb season and thanks goes to all the team involved and to the landowners who so kindly invite the hunt to cross their land. We are indebted to you all.
