Not only have we had one of the hottest week’s on record for March, but Belton International has its hottest line up ever!! With over 750 competitors descending on Grantham’s Belton Park estate, riders from 15 nations are all coming to showcase their skills at this year’s event.

In this Olympic year, the UK’s Team GB hopefuls will all be attending Belton in the hope of impressing the selection committee and gain points to boost their qualification chances for this years games taking place at Greenwich. Among competitors there will be 3 ex-World Champions (Zara Phillips, Blyth Tait & Jean Tuelere), all prospective Team GB candidates, including William Fox-Pitt, Mary King, Oliver Townend, Pippa Funnell, Piggy French, Matthew Wright and many, many more. If this wasn’t enough, there will also be Olympic team members from the Irish, French and New Zealand teams along with a multitude of the continents top riders coming over to ensure they don’t miss this mammoth early season Equifest! All will be running over Captain Mark Phillips challenging and beautifully designed 3* and advanced courses.

Belton has been carefully designed to excite and delight the whole family with over a 100 trade stands to wind you’re your way round, family entertainment and arena attractions to enchant and amaze and a host of the world’s best event riders to watch and follow in the intimate setting of Belton International Horse Trials.

BEDE  AF20155 300x212 - Temperatures Rise at Belton!Belton 2012 has it all to offer, with shopping at the likes of Joules, Urchin and Henley & Barr, sumptuous tasty treats and bargains galore. Classic car shows, International Stunt display team, dog agility shows and a traditional fun-fair to name but a few of the attractions taking place. Not forgetting the stunning scenery and acres & acres of beautiful unspoiled Parkland to explore. This really is a day out you and the family will not want to miss. There are also tickets available for lunch packages on all three days, further details at www.granthamcup.co.uk. Friday see’s late night shopping available to everyone and entry after 4pm is free.

This will truly be a fun day out for all the family to savour; whether you’re interested in horses or just enjoy a perfect day out in the country. Tickets are available on the gate and range from £10 pp on Friday and £15 pp Sat/Sun, children under 14 are free!. Why not treat yourself and spend the day hopping in and out of the exclusive members enclosure (£10 pp) where you can enjoy arena side seating whilst sipping a glass of your favourite weekend tipple.
