Selectors name Racesafe Junior European Championships long list

Racesafe logoThe selectors of the Racesafe British Junior team have named their long list for the British Junior Squad at this summer’s Junior European Championships, which take place at Bialy Bor in Poland from 13-16 August 2015.

Darrell Scaife, Chairman of Selectors for the Racesafe British Junior squad said: “Brand Hall was a fantastic test for our potential team last weekend and made choosing a long list a real challenge as we have such strength in depth.

“I am really looking forward to seeing how the combinations come along in the coming months – good luck to all.”

Long list
The full provisional long list for the 2015 Racesafe British Junior squad is as follows, in alphabetical order:

Jasmine Abraham (age 17 from Hampshire) riding 8 year old bay British-bred mare Catherston Coh I Noor owned by Mrs Sam Abraham

Charlotte Bacon (age 17 from Oxfordshire) riding her own seven year old bay gelding Carrigsean Tigerseye, or British-bred chestnut nine year old mare Sannanvalley Justice who is owned by Miss Karen Huyton.

Felicity Collins (17 from E.Sussex) riding Ms Vicky Collins’ grey British-bred eight year old gelding, Rainstown Frost.

Charlotte Dennis (17 from North Yorkshire) riding Mrs Victoria Dennis’ nine year old bay gelding DHI Hot Chip.

Charlotte East (17 from Somerset) riding her own eight year old grey mare, Clear Dawn.

Sam Ecroyd (18 from Flintshire) riding his own 12 year old bay gelding, Wodan III.
 
Harry Harding (17 from Devon) riding his own 17 year old British-bred black gelding, Tarmac Adam.

Yasmin Ingham (18 from the Isle of Man, based Cheshire) riding 18 year old bay gelding Imperial Cavalier who is jointly owned by Edwin and Sue David with Janette Chin.

Elspeth Jamieson (17 years old, Ayrshire) riding her own nine year old grey gelding, Dassett Cooley Designed.

Alex Kennedy (18 from Somerset) riding her own eight year old gelding, Chocolate Domino.

Libby Seed (18 from Wiltshire) riding Mr & Ms CJ Seed’s 15 year old chestnut gelding What a Catch II.

Alex Tordoff (18 from Leicestershire) riding his own British-bred 11 year old chestnut gelding Emill.

Ailsa Wates (17 from West Sussex) riding 10 year old British-bred ten year old grey gelding, Woodlands Persuasion who is owned by Mrs Pip Wates & Equine Water Training.

A short list of the six riders who will represent Britain at Bialy Bor will be announced after Aston le Walls on the 26 July.

The selection list may be amended in due course; all decisions will be made at the discretion of the Racesafe Junior Squad Selectors and are final.
