Located close to one of the best known spa towns on the Polish Baltic coast, the Stagnia Kaja equestrian centre is well placed to provide riding holiday heaven.
Travel specialist, Poland Your Way has teamed up with one of the country’s prestigious riding centres to offer three-night weekend breaks or seven-night trips, staying at a four-star hotel in nearby Kolobrzeg. There are miles of wide, sandy beaches to explore in the saddle whilst the refreshing air of Kolobrzeg blows away the cobwebs. The health-giving spa treatments associated with this resort, and available at the Baltic Plaza hotel accommodation, are included in the price.
The riding centre has 30 horses, caters for all abilities and is a well-known centre for regional and national show jumping competitions. With indoor and outdoor schools and English speaking instructors, this is a year-round destination, attractive in all seasons.
Groups are kept to a maximum of four for lessons and six for hacks.
The location offers wonderful contrasts, from beach rides along the shore at sunrise and sunset, to hacking through beautiful forests. The picturesque terrain and abundance of wildlife give this riding holiday a unique atmosphere.
There are also two carriages available for short drives around the area.
During the winter the centre offers lessons in the indoor school and sleigh rides through the snow. After an exhilarating ride in the sleigh, riders can warm up around the campfire with sausages and mulled wine or hot tea.
A week long stay at the Baltic Plaza hotel includes six days’ riding (with two sunset rides) and four spa treatments.
A weekend break includes 11 hours riding over two days and two spa treatments. Lunch is included on each riding day, either in the manor or at a barbecue around the outdoor fireplace or the open fire.
Both the three-night trip and week-long break include bed, breakfast and buffet dinner as well as full use of the hotel wi-fi, pool, sauna, jacuzzi and gym.
Poland Your Way is offering new, accompanied riding and spa weekends throughout 2013. The party meets and departs on Friday evenings from Liverpool airport for a Ryanair flight to Szczecin (not included). A private transfer to the four-star Baltic Plaza hotel takes around one hour, arriving in time for a late supper.
Weekend prices start from £450 per person and the week from £850 per person.
Flights to Szczecin from the UK operate from Stansted, Edinburgh, Bristol and Dublin and Liverpool airports.
