Spread over all four days of the bank holiday weekend, thundering hooves and the breaking of lances could be heard across the City Centre.

A Tournament is not just about the Joust it is about a knights skill, both within the Tilt, and on horse back. Points are awarded for blows to the body, Targe (shield) or head; but points are also awarded for horsemanship. Every knight competing at the tournament also takes part in Skill-at-Arms, which is scored and points are awarded based on how well each test is completed, from the quintain to the lettuce chop, all are used to prove and hone their skills.
