Many bridleways shown on the OS map may appear inviting but the reality can be a steep rocky gully, a treacherous bog, difficult gates and a rutted damaged surface.

This handy-sized reference guide will give riders confidence to visit and enjoy the Moors and Dales, whether on a day trip or a longer trek.

The book aims to encourage horse riders to bring their horse or pony and sample the delights of this glorious area and visiting riders will help to sustain the rural economy.

As we are now being encouraged to get back outside, whilst observing any social distancing regulations, these treks provide the perfect opportunity to take a break with friends.  The books also contain information on where you can stop for a break, get refreshments and parking.

The book contains copious sketch maps and detailed descriptions. Any profits made will be used for bridleway projects in this area. To purchase contact https://www.rideyorkshire.org/the-helmsley-cowboy/ the price is £9.50 plus p&p £3.00
