Top riders from across the globe will descend upon this beautiful estate to pit whit’s, stamina and expertise to see who will be crowned the KBIS British Eventing Young Horse Champions and winners of the coveted Osberton International CCI 1*& 2* competitions 2013. 15 Nations in total will compete at Osberton and with the Olympics still fresh in everybody’s minds, TeamGB’s Nichola Wilson along with a host of Olympians from Ireland, Italy, Japan, South Africa, France, Switzerland, Australia and the New Zealand will also be riding.
5 expertly designed cross country courses wind their way through this beautiful country estate with every care taken to ensure that they offer both technical challenge and atheistic delight for all concerned. Designer of the international 2* Captain Mark Phillips and Event Director & lead course builder Stuart Buntine see the fruits of their labours all come together, delivering these truly magnificent feats of design and construction, all taking final shape perfectly. The ground also has been meticulously prepared; ensuring some of the best going in the country is ready for competition.
Across the entire weekend there is something on offer for everyone. Thursday sees the return of the In-hand Championships sponsored by Oakham Veterinary Hospital and the BEF Futurity Finials. Saturday is the Expert’s Eye lunch with 2012 Olympic Gold team trainer Chris Bartle, where you can enjoy a fabulous lunch and commentary from our expert speaker. Sunday opens its doors to see the fever pitch finally of the international competition not forgetting the tug of war battle between Worksop and Retford rugby clubs where the pride of the region hangs in the balance.
