Olympia, The London International Horse Show 2013 Box Office opens with announcement of Spectacular International Display
Tickets for Olympia, The London International Horse Show will go on sale on Wednesday 15th May at 9am. The Show takes place from 16 – 22 December in 2013 and annually attracts over 80,000 visitors.
Olympia is one of Europe’s most important indoor equestrian events, hosting three FEI World Cups™ in driving, dressage and jumping. The Reem Acra FEI World Cup™ dressage leg takes place on 16th and 17th December, The FEI World Cup™ driving leg on 19th and 20th December and the Longines FEI World Cup™ Jumping leg presented by H&M on 21st December.
The headline international display has never before been to Olympia and was last seen in England in 1974. There are four* ‘High Schools’ in the World and one of them is coming to London; The Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art will be performing twice a day with their stunning bay and grey stallions. The School will present a display of equestrian ballet with choreographies taken from classical and countryside dressage set to Spanish music and with costumes from the 18th Century.
In complete contrast, the second international display comes from the Ukraine: The Ukrainian Cossacks will be thrilling the Olympia audience with their high octane display that demonstrates their incredible acrobatic horsemanship. As they ride at a canter or gallop they form human pyramids, slide under the horses and trail their hands along the ground.
Each performance at Olympia ** includes international equestrian competition in a combination of jumping, driving or dressage, The Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art and The Ukranian Cossacks. In addition visitors will enjoy The Shetland Pony Grand National, The Kennel Club Dog Agility and the Olympia Finale – ‘Its a Dickens of a Christmas’ – complete with an appearance from Father Christmas himself.
The Royal Andalusian Schools’ display in each performance is a shortened version of their full exhibition. However, knowing that demand to see this most important High School of Equestrianism will be high, Olympia is presenting ‘The High School Gala Evening’ on Monday 16th December. The evening will give visitors the opportunity to see the full exhibition from the Andalusian School which will be combined with a World Class Dressage Masterclass and other entertainment.
Tickets start at £35 each and discounts for groups, children and concessions apply for certain performances. For more information and to purchase tickets online visit the website at www.olympiahorseshow.com or telephone the box office on 0871 230 5580.
