Amy Ashworth had a great day showing in hand with Mrs Jennifer Stamp’s Betws Hedd in the Section A Stallions.  They won and went on to be section A champion, his son also won the section A foals.  In the ridden’s Amy was a very respectable 3rd place on Mrs Stamp’s Belchford Caitlin in the Welsh D Horse of the Year show qualifiers and also taking highest placed mare.

It Was All In The Gallop

It was definitely a case of practise makes perfect for Eve Duggan.  Following on from their 3rd place at Royal Windsor Horse Show in the Novice Working Show Horse, they entered the class at Lincolnshire Show.  Commented Eve “the novice Working Show Horse was a very busy class and we were the first to jump; we jumped a beautiful clear and Madge gave her second ever ride judge a lovely ride. We also went in the Open and she jumped better than ever but unfortunately clipped the last pole but we were still eligible for the championship with our win in the novice. We made a great account of ourselves and did a fantastic gallop which clinched us the championship!”

Local rider Emma Mrvik riding her own Pumphill Brandon took a very respectable 10th place in the Dartmoor/Exmoor/Shetland HOYS qualifiers.  Not bad considering they had been just at Royal Cheshire the day before melting in the heat to take a 9th place.
