And while many businesses have struggled, fortunately the team at EquestrianClearance.com have been able to report that despite the very wet summer and problems facing everyone in the equestrian community, the sun always shines that bit brighter at the leading online retailer.

Says Managing Director Lorraine Meadowcroft: “It has been really important to keep the equestrian community positive during such difficult times and our marketing team has worked hard to keep everyone upbeat and bright about the future, trying to enthuse them via our weekly E Flyers, Facebook, Competitions and Blogs.

“It has been difficult for everyone but we are a very hard working, determined team and have the right mix of people and skills which is clearly making EquestrianClearance.com a success. We never sit still and are all focussed on providing a great customer experience.

“It is very disappointing that so many events have been cancelled, especially for the competitors, organisers and other retailers.

“We have found that many people who may have bought clothing and horsewear on the show circuit have turned to EquestrianClearance.com for coats and waterproof footwear with events being cancelled.

“Outer wear and waterproofs have certainly been big sellers and while some businesses have faced very trying weeks we have managed to meet customer expectations and have been very busy throughout the early summer. As a result, we have had to increase our staffing numbers which is a good positive sign for our local economy.

“We are keen supporters of equestrianism and try where we can to support grass root competitions, riders and charities

“The EquestrianClearance BE80(T) eventing series and British Showjumping Senior Newcomers continue to prove very popular and it is very important to us to give back and help develop equestrianism – especially as nearly everyone employed here at EquestrianClearance.com has a horse or rides.”
