This wonderful three day extravaganza – Jumping with the Stars in the run up to Olympia – is to be held at The Hartpury Arena, Hartpury College, Gloucestershire, on Friday – Sunday 9th to 11th December.

Hartpury College is delighted to host this Show Jumping Spectacular. This competition was such a great success in 2010 the ‘Hartpury team’ have produced an exceptional programme which includes a Small and Big Tour for the top competitors plus a 2 tier Amateur Tour. Three days of opportunity for our riders to put their horses to the test with a prize fund standing at £16,900 for the weekend.

The event is a run up to Olympia –with World Class competitors taking part in the Big Tour including John and Robert Whitaker, Tina Fletcher, Geoff Lucket, Lynne Bevan and Keith Doyle. This will turn into a real competition when hot on their heels riders – Marie Edgar, James Davenport, Sam Hutton and Gemma Plumley push to knock the old guard off the top spots. Local riders John Daker, Emma Slater, Eric and Lizzel Winter will all brush shoulders with several of the Hartpury Academy students in the Amateur Tour, we are in for a real treat.
The skill of the course designer will test the competitor across various courses, riders will demonstrate a broad base of training to enable their horses to jump clear under pressure. The climax for the Big Tour will be on Saturday and the Amateur Tours final on Sunday tension will rise as the competitors ‘battle it out’ to win the large money prizes on offer.

This Show Jumping Spectacular has been very generously sponsored by many well-known Equestrian companies including Dodson & Horrell, Equimat, NAF, Andrews Bowen Ltd, Barnsby Saddlery , Cushion Bed, Horsatack Saddlery, Fab Horses and Henley & Barr all of which will be on hand to answer questions at their trade stands. The Holiday Inn Gloucester – Cheltenham have also joined Hartpury in offering accommodation at very special rates for those visitors who wish to make it a weekend to remember.
Don’t forget that last minute Christmas Shopping! – there are a number of Trade Stands to visit which will be open from 2.30pm on Friday and from 9.30am on Saturday until the show finishes on Sunday evening.

Hartpury Hospitality – Why not treat yourself to a VIP Hartpury Arena experience and enjoy a delicious luncheon while watching the performance. There are a select number of tables overlooking the Arena where you will be served mulled wine on arrival followed by a three course meal.
Lunch is available each day at £35.00 per head please book your tickets in advance.

Time table: Friday 9th Doors open at 2.30pm until approximately 9.00pm
Saturday 10th Doors open at 9.00 a.m. until approximately 9.00pm
Sunday 11th Doors open at 8.30 a.m. until approximately 6.00pm
