Building on the success of last year’s Gillespie Macandrew International Horse Trials, Hopetoun House, near Edinburgh will return this year with two equine events.
Hosting a number of international sporting stars, the newly named Hopetoun Town and Country Fair (July 27th/28th), will provide a spectacular showground for the International Horse Trials –with classes novice, CIC*, CIC** and CIC*** to appear.
Also offering a multitude of boutique shopping lanes, Scotland’s finest foods and entertainment plus the opportunity for country pursuits the July event is set to bring a welcome contribution for country and city dwellers near Edinburgh.
Grass roots riders are being given the chance to compete at Hopetoun at a new fixture hosting 80, 90, 100, N and ON between June 29th and 30th.
Event organiser, Stuart Buntine, commented: “Given the challenges that some equine events have experienced in Scotland recently it is extremely exciting that Hopetoun will now offer two opportunities to experience the thrill of this magnificent sport.
Combined with some of life’s pleasures namely food, entertainment and shopping the Town and Country Fair will offer a unique day out which everyone will enjoy.”
Mr Buntine continued: “It is a great time for Hopetoun and the Scottish equine scene as it goes from strength to strength. Next year we are looking to develop the International event even further”.
