Hitts Barton Equestrian Centre, in conjunction with Town & Country Supplies, is holding an action-packed Open Day on Saturday 16 March, to entertain, educate and inspire horse lovers of every age and ability.
The secluded equestrian centre is set in over 100 acres of beautiful Devonshire countryside but also has a large indoor school so that any inclement weather can be avoided. There will be a captivating demonstration of natural horsemanship, showing the benefits of working in true harmony with your horse and a fascinating horse agility display in which horse and handler, both on foot, navigate a course of obstacles while focusing on clear communication and positive horsemanship. For competition riders there will be a dressage demonstration with local dressage rider Charlotte Ward.
On a more educational theme the horse feed manufacturer Dengie is inviting owners to bring their horse or pony along to their practical nutrition workshop, where they can discuss their horse’s diet with the experts and take advantage of Dengie’s portable weighbridge to obtain an accurate weight for their horse.
Zoetis Animal Health will also be on hand to take the complication out of equine worming with a simple talk about what, when and why. You’ll also have the chance to ask questions and obtain worming advice to help you keep your horse in top health.
There will be a range of refreshments on tap all day and the chance to win a private dressage lesson with Charlotte Ward in a free prize draw for all visitors. To find out more call 01392 461420 or simply come along on the day.
