GRH-Logo-sq-web-transGuy Robertson Horsemanship based at Rawcliffe Bridge near Goole is delighted to welcome renowned international horseman, Martin Black, to the UK.
Doncaster’s Northern Racing College will play host to Martin for a four day clinic from May 23 to 26. There will be two courses available, offering something for all levels of ability of both horse and rider.
Horsemanship 1 is aimed at novice riders or green horses, with the general focus being balance, basic manoeuvres and problem solving. The only prerequisite to participating in this session is that you must be able to maintain control of your horse within a group of other horses.
Horsemanship 2 is for competitive and advanced riders and horses, concentrating on balance, reining manoeuvres and advanced body control.
Both sessions will be looking to find solutions to problems, and finding answers to the questions our horses ask us, which often go misunderstood.
Growing up on the family ranch in Idaho, Martin was surrounded by great horsemen, including his own father, grandfather and uncle. Working cows from horseback was part of everyday life from being young and he went on to work on many ranches perfecting his skills, in the pursuit of excellence.
He now travels the world sharing his knowledge and experience with horse owners serious about improving themselves and their horses.
Martin has strongly influenced the training techniques and methods that have proved successful throughout Guy’s own career and credits him with being the inspiration behind his horsemanship journey.
Whether you are looking for a natural way of starting your horse’s education or are trying to find the key to unlock your horse’s ability to take you to the next level in the competition arena, these clinics are sure to prove thought provoking and fun for horse owners from novice to advanced level.
The clinics will be split over the day with Horsemanship 1 taking place in the morning and Horsemanship 2 during the afternoon.
The Four Days course costs £460. Spectators are also welcome to go along, to watch and learn, with tickets priced at £30 per day or £100 for a four day pass.
