Due to phenomenal demand the Spanish Riding School of Vienna are adding a further date to their hugely popular UK Tour. Thursday 24th November has now been confirmed as an additional night and tickets go on sale from 9am on 9th September 2011.
Tickets for Saturday 26th November have now sold out.
Co-promoters of the Tour, Live Nation and Universal are delighted with the strong tickets sales they have seen over the past few months. A spokesperson from Live Nation commented:
“We have a wonderful show that is very unique – being able to watch the world famous Spanish Riding School of Vienna perform outside Austria is in itself a rare opportunity – add to the mix Dressage Gold medallists Carl Hester and Lee Pearson and TV personality Nicki Chapman hosting the event – the crowds are in for a show like never seen before.”
The opportunity to see the scholars of the Winter Riding School based in the Hofburg Palace in Vienna perform outside their home environment is a rare occurrence and their show titled “Imperial Dream” sees an impressive display of classical equitation in the Renaissance tradition of the haute école.
It has been five years since this 430-year-old Viennese cultural marvel last visited the UK and to celebrate the School is delighted that elite medal-winning dressage champions, Lee Pearson and Carl Hester are joining them. The entertaining twenty minute performance from two of the most accomplished modern dressage champions in the world will be a perfect complement to the majestic horses and riders from the Spanish Riding School performing their classical equitation.
