Dodson and Horrell LogoThe UK’s leading horse feed specialists Dodson & Horrell will be sponsoring the Veteran Horse Showing Ltd Championship yet again in 2013, marking the eleventh consecutive year of support for this fantastic series and cementing the company’s continued commitment to supporting horses of all ages.  Veteran Horse Showing Ltd is the only affiliated series dedicated solely to horses age 15 years and above and has proved that veteran horses and ponies still have the potential and capability of success and are able to compete.

The Championship includes 17 regional finals taking place across the country and culminates in the final at the London International Horse Show at Olympia.
Dodson & Horrell supports a wide range of equestrian championships and individuals ranging from novice to professional and the sponsorship of Veteran Horse Showing allows the company to continue to support horses that are too old for the majority of championship events but who still have a huge amount to give.  Sam Horrell, Marketing Director at Dodson & Horrell, said: “It’s a privilege for us to be able to work with Veteran Horse Showing and be part of an organisation that allows veteran horses to extend their careers and take part in competitions.  “We do a lot with young horses and competitions aimed at young horses and it’s just as important for us that we look after these horses when they reach veteran age and support a championship that allows veteran horses to compete on an equal basis.”

Clare Frost, Company Secretary at Veteran Horse Showing, said: ” Veteran Horse Showing is honoured to have Dodson & Horrell as our main sponsor who will be sponsoring the 2013 series. This long-standing sponsor has supported the Veteran Series for some time now and their products are much sought after by our members offering specialised feed and vitamins for older horses and ponies.

“This combined with a good working relationship between both parties has really helped the series go from strength to strength.  “2013 marks the 11th year of Veteran Horse Showing and in that time we’ve been honoured to witness the fantastic achievements of all of the horses that have competed at the regional events and then the final.
“As a result of better horse care, facilities, treatments and feeds, horses and ponies are living longer and our shows provide an ideal opportunity for members to see their horses competing as they used to.”
