A quintessential country fair with over 100 trade-stands offering fine fashion, sumptuous tasty treats and retail therapy for the home and garden, Arts & Crafts Marquee, a traditional fun-fair to excite and delight the little ones and displays and entertainments that the family won’t want to miss, all wrapped up in the picturesque setting of one of the National Trusts and Lincolnshire’s prize possessions.
And, if that wasn’t enough, this all goes on amidst one of the most exciting equestrian eventing competitions of the year so far! With the competition line up confirmed, Belton can boast its strongest line up EVER! Top riders from across the globe will descend upon this beautiful estate to pit whit’s, stamina and expertise to see who will be crowned “Grantham Cup” winner 2013. 17 Nations in total will compete at Belton and with the Olympics still fresh in everybody’s minds, TeamGB’s Zara Phillips, Nichola Wilson and William Fox-Pitt along with a host of Olympians from Ireland, Italy, Japan, South Africa, France, Switzerland, Sweden and the USA will also be riding.
5 expertly designed cross country courses wind their way through this beautiful country estate with every care taken to ensure that they offer both technical challenge and atheistic delight for all concerned. Designer Captain Mark Phillips, Event Director Stuart Buntine and Peter Wilson’s team of expert course builders, working in close consultation with the National Trust, see the fruits of their labours all come together, delivering these truly magnificent feats of design and construction, all taking final shape perfectly. The ground also has been meticulously prepared; ensuring some of the best going in the country is ready for competition.
In the hospitality areas there is something for everyone on offer across the weekend. Friday sees the return of the “Ladies that Lunch” charity luncheon in aid of Anna’s Hope charity in association with Hoppers Jewellers and their fantastic Diamond Dive. Saturday is the Expert’s Eye lunch with Islay Auty & Francis Whittington, where you can enjoy a fabulous lunch and commentary from our two expert speakers and to walk off the fabulous food Francis will be taking attendees for an up close and personal tour of the course. Sunday opens its doors for a traditional Sunday Lunch with a twist. Why not bring the family and sit eating a hearty lunch whilst watching the worlds eventing elite compete in the final stages of the show jumping from the comfort of this arena siding marquee.
