Two new initiatives have been launched, for grassroots and for intermediate level riders contesting Tri-Star Eventing competitions this season, thanks to the generous support of Saracen Horse Feeds.
The Tri-Star Saracen Intermediate League covers all Two Star and Intermediate classes at Oasby, Belton Park, Burnham Market, Houghton Hall, Cholmondeley Castle and Osberton. The League will run on British Eventing points, with the rider accumulating the most points during the season from the events rewarded with a range of prizes including a tonne of Saracen Horse Feeds, and three days training with Saracen Horse Feeds brand ambassador and Olympic medallist Carl Hester.
The Tri-Star Saracen Grass Roots Bursary is also an accumulator, this time for riders at BE80T, BE90 and BE100 levels, who have never ridden at Intermediate. All classes at these levels at Oasby, Burnham Market, Whitfield, Shelford Manor, BCA and Cholmondeley Castle will provide point winning opportunities, ten points for the win down to one point for tenth place.
Regardless of which level competitors ride at, the one with the most points at the end of the season will be awarded prizes including a tonne of main range Saracen Horse Feed and training sessions with a Saracen Horse Feeds brand ambassador covering each phase of eventing.
Second and third placed riders in both new accumulators will also win Saracen feed, and branded rugs or clothing.
A family owned business with more than 170 years of experience in manufacturing animal feeds, Saracen Horse Feeds is renowned for producing a range of nutritionally sound, innovative horse feeds designed to meet the needs of the modern equine athlete.
Michael Bacon, Sales and Marketing Director of Saracen Horse Feeds, says of the two new initiatives: “We are very excited to launch this new league, it’s a great opportunity to support riders across the levels, and we are looking forward to following the results throughout the season.”
British Eventing’s Chief Executive David Holmes has welcomed the new partnership between Tri-Star Eventing and Saracen. “These two new points accumulators will provide competition goals for riders at a range of levels. The generous prizes, with their strong focus on training, encourage the desire that all BE members share, of improving their skills in the saddle.”
“We are very excited about these new series. With the Shearwater sponsored Three Star prize fund in its second year, Tri-Star Eventing now offers an exciting challenge for riders across the board,” added BEDE Events Director Stuart Buntine.
